Thank you so much for taking the time to research & find me. We have obviously been led to find each other & I’m hoping that this will be the start of an inspiring journey for us both.
Hi, my name is Karen, thank you for visiting my page. As an Independent Celebrant, trained by UK Society of Celebrants, my aim is to create a truly unique and meaningful ceremony whatever your life event. From rock bands and royalty, to becoming a celebrant.
Bonjour! My name is Lara and I am a Family and Funeral Celebrant based in France. I live in rural Normandy with my alpacas, kittens and chickens. Not to forget my wonderful Husband Paul who I married right here in France.
A warm welcome to my page. I hope that here you will find all the information you need to decide whether I am the celebrant for you. Let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself. I have been a teacher for thirty years, working in England, Cyprus, Spain, Kenya and Kuwait. Teaching abroad has given me the opportunity to work and socialise with many different nationalities.
Through the years I have had the benefit of experiencing many cultures and diverse beliefs. This gives me unique insights to draw from when speaking to people on both joyous and sad occasions. I work part time in catering here in the UK; however I have found myself on a new and exciting path, where I believe I can be of greater use and service.
As your funeral celebrant, I promise to serve you with sensitivity and professionalism; and respect your unique beliefs, values, and cultural background; to provide you with a personalised ceremony over which you have complete control and final approval. Together, we will create a ceremony that celebrates your loved one’s life.

For many years I worked, firstly as a Consultant Surgeon in the NHS and later in a joint University/NHS post, caring for people with cancers of the face and jaw and their families.
Hello, I’m Paul Standbrook and I’m Dad and Grandad to a close-knit, large extended family. I live with my partner Sam (also a Celebrant) in a little cottage in the country and she and I share long experience of providing support at important times in people’s lives. Over the last twenty years I have built a deep insight and a keen interest in people and in the way in which key events impact their lives.
