I share my life with my wonderful husband and dog, I enjoy travelling and experiencing new places. My working life has been committed to supporting adults with various disabilities, I am a registered manager of a residential home, I love my role, having the opportunity to support people makes me extremely proud.
I have lived in Middlesbrough all of my life, my friends and family are very precious to me and we have shared lots of life's moments both sad and happy, I am a caring, empathetic, humorous, optimistic person with a natural ability to encourage and promote self esteem with people who I meet..........I am a people person.
I recently had the honour of unofficially performing my dearest friends daughters wedding, which was one of the best experiences I have had, I was nervous right up until the actual time and then it all ran perfectly, I was able to add some beautiful personal touches and performed a sand ceremony that many of the guests including the bride and groom had not seen before, it was truly magical.

On the flip side of that I was privileged to be asked to write and deliver a eulogy at my sister in laws funeral, we both chatted about the content and what her wishes were to be shared with her family and friends, again this was a beautiful experience albeit very very sad. Both occasions have led me to deciding I would be a good celebrant and I starting to look at the possibilities of accessing great training, I believe that due to my personality and ability to adapt, listen, observe and show genuine care towards others I can make any important life event one of joy, happiness and reflective of each individual.

I mentioned travelling earlier and over the years have visited many wonderful countries and over the years have made many friends who have become part of my life, I love staying in touch with friends whether meeting up for a chat and a cuppa or a glass or 2 of wine in the pub while trying to answer the questions in the quiz.
One of my favourite things is getting dressed up for functions, I have a huge wardrobe of 50's dresses, netted petticoats included and love socialising, I also love to wear elegant gowns should the occasion arise.......not often enough for my liking.

I work alongside my wonderful husband and have done so for over 20 years, we live together, we holiday together, work together, socialise together and I can honestly say I am very lucky to have married my best friend, even with that said I can suggest a road trip in the car at the drop of a hat and he always agrees, life's far too short to not do what makes your heart happy so occasional spontaneous trips or music concerts are a great way to enjoy life for me.

I want my personality to be a key factor in assisting people to feel comfortable in sharing their own dreams, wishes and hopes in whatever capacity I would be involved with to ensure that their own celebration of a person's life, marriage or naming a child is carried out with compassion, love and that they can hold truly wonderful memories for ever.
