Hi I’m Colin Higgins and I’m your Family, Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in Lanarkshire. I come from a close-knit background and have always valued connection, storytelling, and the importance of marking life’s key moments in a meaningful way.

Alongside my work as a celebrant, I’m also a stand-up comedian and involved in podcasting. Both have given me a deep appreciation for people’s stories—how they’re told, how they’re remembered, and how powerful they can be when shared in the right way.

My decision to become a celebrant came from a very personal place. I was asked to lead a vow renewal ceremony for my partner’s parents on Machir Beach on Islay. It was a simple but significant moment and being trusted to tell their story and shape that ceremony felt like a natural fit. It showed me how important it is to create something that genuinely reflects the people involved.

I’ve also experienced a great deal of loss in my life. That has given me a real understanding of grief and how different it can look for each person. It’s one of the reasons I felt drawn to funeral celebrancy—to be able to support families in creating something that honours their loved one in a way that feels right to them.

Becoming a celebrant felt like a continuation of skills I already had—listening, understanding people, and finding the right words—but applied in a way that truly matters.

 Full Circle Ceremonial is a celebrant service based in Lanarkshire, providing personalised ceremonies across Scotland. I work with individuals, couples, and families to create ceremonies that are carefully written, well-structured, and rooted in the real stories of the people involved. I also write personalised readings and poetry for client who want a bespoke or unique service.

As a wedding celebrant, I design and deliver ceremonies for legal marriages, civil partnerships, and non-legal celebrations. This includes everything from small, intimate gatherings to larger occasions. Each ceremony is written from scratch, shaped through conversation, and built around what matters most to you—your story, your values, and the tone you want to set for the day.

Alongside weddings, I also work as a funeral celebrant, supporting families in creating services that reflect the life of the person they’ve lost. Whether the preference is for something traditional, informal, or a celebration of life, I take time to understand the individual and ensure the ceremony feels appropriate, respectful, and genuine.

Full Circle Ceremonial also offers naming ceremonies and other life celebrations, giving people the opportunity to mark important moments in a way that feels inclusive and meaningful. Every ceremony is approached with care and attention to detail, ensuring it is both personal and well-delivered.
