Hello,my name is Emma Penwill, and am your Wedding and Funeral Celebrant in Somerset, close to Burnham-on-Sea. I have been married for many years and am the proud mum of two grown-up sons, who have taught me the true value of love, patience, and celebrating life's special moments.

My working life has been varied and rewarding. I spent over 12 years as a Training Officer with Lloyds Bank, where I gained invaluable experience in communication, organisation, coaching, and supporting people from all walks of life. My role involved helping colleagues develop their skills and confidence, and I found great satisfaction in encouraging others to achieve their potential. Those years gave me the ability to listen carefully, communicate with empathy, and adapt to different people's needs—qualities that I believe are essential for a celebrant.

For the past 20 years, I have successfully built and managed several dog-related businesses. I have bred dogs, supplied trained dogs for television and film productions, operated a canine fertility clinic, and run an animal transport company. These businesses have allowed me to work closely with a wide range of people. They have strengthened my ability to provide a professional yet caring service, paying close attention to every detail while building trusting relationships with my clients.

Becoming a celebrant feels like the natural next step in my journey. Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed meeting people, listening to their stories, and helping to make important occasions memorable. I believe every life, every relationship, and every family has a unique story that deserves to be celebrated with warmth, respect, and authenticity.
