Kelly Victoria | Wedding and Funeral Celebrant

Hello, my name is Kelly, and I am your family, wedding and funeral celebrant in Lincolnshire creating and delivering bespoke ceremonies across the East Midlands to celebrate those important milestones in life.

I moved to Lincoln twenty years ago for my job as a university lecturer in Drama. I live to the north of this beautiful city with my three children, and a young cavapoodle with an eye for mischief!

As well as a career in teaching, leading workshops, directing plays, and presenting lectures to students, I am a published author and have written books on Gothic drama and ghost stories in the theatre. My favourite author is William Shakespeare, and I have a PhD in early modern drama. I am always thrilled to share my love of literature and drama, and I would be delighted to use a shared joy for stories and storytelling in the creation of your special event.

I pride myself in my ability to put people at their ease and to offer warmth and support at those times when it is most needed. A career in the performing arts has taught me the power of drama to gift us a sense of empathy, an ability to share perspectives, and a deep appreciation of the comfort that words and stories can offer to us when we are experiencing all kinds of emotions.

I trained as a celebrant with UKSOC after having been invited to organise various wedding and milestone birthday party ceremonies for my family and friends. It was an immense privilege to create each event and to be entrusted with making valued memories for everyone who attended, and I was inspired to take this further in training as a celebrant.

I am very much a ‘people-person’, and it matters to me to work with people in an area where I can make a real and positive impact on someone’s life. I have set up Kelly Victoria Ceremonies with this aim in mind.

What can I do for you?

As a family and funeral celebrant, Kelly Victoria Ceremonies can create all kinds of unique celebrations, including weddings, civil ceremonies, vow renewal ceremonies, naming ceremonies, life event ceremonies, funeral ceremonies and memorials.

It is important to set the appropriate tone for your event. Thoughtful attention to detail with an ability to listen and respond to what matters to you is key. Kelly Victoria Ceremonies offers a caring and friendly service, working with you to craft a ceremony that respectfully reflects the lives of those we are celebrating.

We tend to reach out to a celebrant in those pivotal moments in life, at moments of transition, and with a variety of feelings that can accompany such change. It is important that at such times, you feel able to trust and speak openly with the person who will navigate this time with you. I would feel very privileged if you would like me to be this person.

In creating the ceremony, I would be very happy to advise on readings that can help to convey your emotions, and I would likewise be very happy to work with you to write bespoke vows, poetry, and literary expressions, that can add a deeply personal touch to the occasion. In addition to standard ceremonies, Kelly Victoria is happy to offer themed ceremonies inspired by ‘literary greats’, and a love of theatre, to ensure a day to remember.
