I am a proud Glaswegian born and raised, which means I bring a lively, warm, and honest approach to everything I do. While my heart will always be connected to the city, I now happily call Lanarkshire home, where I live with my husband, our two children, and our fluffy Ragdoll cat. My life is rooted in family, community, and a healthy dose of chaos!
My professional background is diverse, giving me a unique skill set perfect for celebrancy. An ex-Meetings and Events Coordinator, I mastered the art of organisation, having seamlessly managed everything from small board meetings to large-scale conferences and dinners for over 600 people. Then came a transition into Primary School teaching, which honed my ability to connect with people of all ages, present confidently, and create engaging, comfortable environments.
In my downtime, I am a dedicated nature enthusiast and an accredited Meditation Coach. I love venturing into the local woodlands, embracing the unpredictable Scottish weather (snow, sun, wind, and rain all in one day!), finding peace, and gaining perspective—an essential balance as a busy Mum and wife! Conversely, I have a deep love for music and an eclectic taste, spanning from The Beatles and Nat King Cole to the Spice Girls and Metallica. I truly believe that music is a key pathway to the soul (and great fun for dancing!).
My journey to celebrancy was illuminated by the clear call to connect deeply with others and retell the stories of loved ones. Becoming a celebrant is to provide comfort and a genuine listening ear during the toughest times, ensuring that all of life's moments—from profound farewells to joyous welcomes—are not trivialised. My commitment is to create bespoke, professional ceremonies that are fitting, full of empathy, and brimming with emotion. I am here to connect, to guide, and to truly celebrate life's most special moments with you.
I understand that during the difficult process of loss, you get only one chance to say goodbye. My mission is to ensure that farewell is a perfect reflection of the unique life lived.
I am not here to offer a 'cookie-cutter moment'. Instead, we will work closely together to truly tell the beautiful story of a loved one. We will focus on the unique quirks, characteristics, and passions that made them, them. These are the golden threads that weave together an unforgettable, fitting tribute.
