We all know there are circles and cycles of life, as the song goes, that most of us will experience: starting from perhaps a baptism or naming ceremony as an infant; a coming of age ceremony around 12 years old; graduation from school, college or university; marriage or partnership ceremony; birth of your children; your children’s baptism or naming ceremony ; your renewal of vows; your children’s wedding; fare-welling loved ones at a funeral ceremony; and eventually, our own farewell from our loved ones.

I am a registered celebrant with UK Society of Celebrants, and hold a Diploma in Family and Funeral Celebrancy.

I have lived and worked in Scotland, England and Australia, and I am now based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, where my 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters and sons-in-law live. In other words, family has brought me here.

Family Ceremonies

I would be delighted to work with you and your loved ones to create a joyful and personal ceremony for the special occasion you are planning: a marriage, naming ceremony, civil partnership, renewing your marriage vows, naming your baby: and any event that you wish to celebrate.

The ceremony can happen at your choice of venue and with any theme you want. All family ceremonies include a commemorative certificate for you to keep from your day, as well as a beautiful copy of the ceremony itself.

Celebrations of Life Ceremonies

Typically, a funeral is a time when family, friends, colleagues and others who shared some element of their life come together to say goodbye to someone they knew, loved and respected.  While it may be a sad occasion, it need not be designed to reinforce the loss, which everyone will already be feeling, as much as to celebrate the life the deceased lived.

The most important thing when planning the Celebration of Life ceremony is to consider how you want them to be remembered; how they themselves would want to be remembered. As your funeral celebrant I am there to help you design and plan a ceremony that exactly fits your needs.

There may be friends or family members who would like to take part, which is easily accommodated, either by inclusion of their own words or by my finding suitable readings for them.

You can call me or email me, where we can set up a time to meet and explore options and ideas. This is your ceremony and I am to make things flow unique and beautiful way.
