I am Michael Bidny and the son of parents who came to the United Kingdom after the second world war and made England their home.
I got married quite early in life ( 20 years of age ) to a wonderful women who really does look after me. Thankfully we are still together after 44 years of marriage ( I really don’t know how she has put up with me after all of this time.)

My wife and I have two children, both of whom have now flown the nest and have wonderful families of their own. As a result of this we now have three wonderful grandchildren who keep us both young and what we now don’t know about football is not worth knowing.

I worked as an independent advisor to all the major insurance companies. Like all things in life this came to an end when goal post change and so we move on.
I do have beliefs , and because of this I am very open to other people’s views and beliefs and the philosophy that I use is “ If you are able to obtain some kind of comfort from what you believe in then thats okay with me and I fully respect it “.

Both of my parents have now passed away, my mother being killed in a road traffic accident and my father died some 31 days later – I still say to this day from a broken heart.
I came to fully understand the meaning of celebrating a person’s life when my mother-in-law passed away. The eulogy was composed by her son, my brother-in-law, and I just wanted to stand up and clap after he had finished speaking. To me, he told a story which was heart warming and from the within himself, it made you laugh and it made you cry but it was very comforting.

Having been trained by the UK Society of Celebrants I feel that I have the tools with which to act as your funeral celebrant but also keeping in mind the eulogy that my mother-in-law had, and by combining both elements together I will craft a ceremony that you will want and the deceased would have been proud of.
I will discuss the ceremony with you and your family and then having crafted the eulogy I would of course send you the script for approval.
Together, we will ensure that everything will be fine – it’s good to talk.
