A warm welcome to my page. I hope that here you will find all the information you need to decide whether I am the celebrant for you. Let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself. I have been a teacher for thirty years, working in England, Cyprus, Spain, Kenya and Kuwait. Teaching abroad has given me the opportunity to work and socialise with many different nationalities.
Hi, I’m Ellie and I am a wedding and funeral celebrant based Whitby, and I travel all over North Yorkshire and the UK to perform ceremonies.
Wedding customs and traditions have always been a personal interest, with alternative weddings and ceremonies favoured, hence the company name Alternative Ceremonies UK.
Through the years I have had the benefit of experiencing many cultures and diverse beliefs. This gives me unique insights to draw from when speaking to people on both joyous and sad occasions. I work part time in catering here in the UK; however I have found myself on a new and exciting path, where I believe I can be of greater use and service.
As your funeral celebrant, I promise to serve you with sensitivity and professionalism; and respect your unique beliefs, values, and cultural background; to provide you with a personalised ceremony over which you have complete control and final approval. Together, we will create a ceremony that celebrates your loved one’s life.
Bespoke, heartfelt ceremonies for weddings, funerals, baby namings and renewal of vows.

Over the last twenty years I have built a deep insight and a keen interest in people and in the way in which key events impact their lives.

Hello. My name is Tony Nolan and I am proud to be a member of the United Kingdom Society of Celebrants. A funeral service should be a memorable celebration of someone’s life. It should reflect their unique character and be a professional fitting tribute that will help family and friends grieve, remember and celebrate a special life. I will help you achieve this.
