Hi, my name is Catrin Stark. I live just outside Newport, South Wales, and I’m happy to travel across South Wales for your ceremony. My husband, our 2-year-old son, Scottie dog and I live right on top of a hill in a town called Risca where every day I feel blessed and content with life.

I work for a major international charity as a senior manager, where my every day is about making life better for people in need. I love my work and after many years in management in the charity sector, the one thing that always drives me on to do my best is doing the right thing for other people. Some people are motivated by money, others by possessions but for me it’s connections with people.

That little bit of magic when people connect and show understanding, warmth and compassion for one another, and build on trust and relationships from there! It’s a wonderful thing!

I don’t know about you, but, I’ve attended one too many a wedding ceremony conducted by registrars that seems little flat. No emotion, limited personality and a sense of going through the motions. No ‘little bit of magic’. And, after recently conducting a blessing ceremony for a two of my closest girlfriends, and then attending another friends’ wedding conducted by a monosyllabic registrar, I felt compelled to sign up with UK society of celebrants and complete training.

Whether it be your wedding, renewal of vows, commitment ceremony or a naming ceremony, it is an important day in your life, and I think it should feel special from start to finish! For many, the start of the process starts months before, planning the day and getting excited about all of the different options and choices ahead of you. I would happily play any part in this process; we can work that out together.
