Special ceremonies should be exactly that; unique and individually crafted for the people at the heart of celebration.

The cycle of life has its milestones, marked by special occasions; each should be a personalised and memorable event. Celebrations of love, of birth and chosen name, and of life:

Weddings, civil ceremonies, renewal of vows and commitments.

Naming ceremonies and adoption ceremonies.

Funerals and memorials

I can guide you through your event, create the words and sentiments that best represent you and your loved ones, and deliver your ceremony to your individual wishes.  Let your ceremony capture you: your life, your character and your loves, through words, themes, images and music.

Life is a story of happiness, difficulty, heartache and love; make your story your own.

About Me

Hi, I’m Sue and I live with my partner Ink, my three boys and my dog Alice, in Armitage, Staffordshire. I spent many years in Devon and London only to settle back in the place where I grew up.

I am passionate about people, families, connections, life stories; all the treasures that make us human.
In my life I have been an illustrator, an artist, a writer and a publisher.

I love inventing art and paint whenever I can. My true love of the English language and literature fires my creative writing.

I have worked for publications such as Devon Life and South West Tattler, and published my own magazine, ‘Style’.  My writing has covered: Travel, fashion, food, reviews and interviews. I enjoy creating fiction, poetry and drama.

In more recent years I have been an English teacher in high school; a challenging and rewarding job that has given me the opportunity to work with and support young adults.

For five years I chaired inspiring groups of women from all walks of life, the ethos of which was rooted in friendship and support. I organised events and delivered speeches and talks.

My qualifications are: BA Honours degree in English language and literature; Diploma with distinction in Creative Writing.

Becoming a Celebrant
During my experiences in writing, public speaking and personal research for funerals I realised an affinity for the role of celebrant and embarked on a journey with the UK Society of Celebrants.

I love my job as a Celebrant. Being part of a special day, be it a day of joy or sadness, is a great honour. No two occasions are ever the same and the expression of different lifestyles and passions – the things that make us who we are – are the things that make a day unique and unforgettable.
