I live in Stafford in the Midlands and am married to Steve with one daughter and two granddaughters, all of whom I adore.

In addition to spending time with family, I enjoy cooking and feeding friends and family, swimming (preferably outdoors), travel and have a liking for an occasional cocktail when relaxing or taking time off from my career as an accountant.

I am a confident but fun-loving and caring individual with a strong empathetic nature and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. I enjoy being outdoors and I have a spiritual outlook and philosophy on life rather than a traditional religious one. I have an element of my personality that has often driven me to do things slightly different to the norm.

I had wanted to have my wedding in the ruins of an old abbey, followed by bacon butties and champagne. Unfortunately back in the day, this didn’t seem feasible. Maybe one day soon, we will renew our vows in a more romantic setting than a registry office, maybe the abbey, maybe a windswept beach or maybe something similar.

Celebrancy has always interested me and attending a beautiful non-religious funeral service held in the deceased’s own wonderful garden and conducted by a celebrant, helped to make the decision to begin to work in order to help others’ achieve their preferred way of doing things.

I have enjoyed public speaking and at one point in my career, won a UK wide completion run by my employer to be the voice of the business, greeting callers on the automated telephone system!

It is my aim as a celebrant to work with you to provide individual and tailored ceremonies to suit all occasions (including weddings, vow renewals, commitment services, funerals and naming ceremonies) for those who want a more personal touch to commemorate their important life events, working with all members of our varied and wonderful society including the LGBT community.
