Bonjour! My name is Lara and I am a Family and Funeral Celebrant based in France. I live in rural Normandy with my alpacas, kittens and chickens. Not to forget my wonderful Husband Paul who I married right here in France.
Through the years I have had the benefit of experiencing many cultures and diverse beliefs. This gives me unique insights to draw from when speaking to people on both joyous and sad occasions. I work part time in catering here in the UK; however I have found myself on a new and exciting path, where I believe I can be of greater use and service.
As your funeral celebrant, I promise to serve you with sensitivity and professionalism; and respect your unique beliefs, values, and cultural background; to provide you with a personalised ceremony over which you have complete control and final approval. Together, we will create a ceremony that celebrates your loved one’s life.
If you are in the midst of planning a funeral for a loved one, it can be a very overwhelming time leaving you feeling very vulnerable. There is so much to process and so many decisions to make.
Let me help. As a Certified Funeral Celebrant I specialize in working with families to create meaningful ceremonies.
Hello, I’m Paul Standbrook and I’m Dad and Grandad to a close-knit, large extended family. I live with my partner Sam (also a Celebrant) in a little cottage in the country and she and I share long experience of providing support at important times in people’s lives. Over the last twenty years I have built a deep insight and a keen interest in people and in the way in which key events impact their lives.

Hello my name is Fred. I’m interested in anything anyone has to say about anything. I was born in England and have spent nearly all my life as an entertainer. I have been an actor, a tightrope walker and a sword-swallower. For many years I ran a French National Circus School in the South of France. I have performed all over the world from USA to China.
Hello, I’m Julie Antonette, an Independent Civil Celebrant, professionally trained and accredited by the UK Society of Celebrants and Member of the Irish Institute of Celebrants. I’m based in Belfast and work throughout the whole of Ireland creating beautiful, bespoke ceremonies for Weddings / Civil Partnerships, Renewal of Vows, Baby Namings and Funerals.
Hi, my name is Samantha Edmundson (Sam for short). I live in a village in Bedfordshire with my Partner, Paul, and two cats (Atticus and Esmerelda). Between us we have five children and numerous grandchildren.
After spending a number of years commuting up and down the M1, Paul and I decided we needed to re-prioritise our lives. We spent some time travelling around Europe in a very old motorhome named Bessie, taking time to reflect on life and read widely. I also travelled to India and Portugal to find out more about yoga and meditation, which I have been practising for several years.
